Nontachai Jitmuangnon vs. Soner Sen Headline Tops ONE Friday Fights 130, Full Card Revealed
ONE Championship is ringing in “Scorpio season” with ONE Friday Fights 130 live in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, October 24. The stacked card is headlined by a bantamweight Muay Thai showdown between Thai star Nontachai Jitmuangnon battles Turkish knockout artist Soner "Golden Boy" Sen, and as always, there are nearly two dozen athletes vying for the life-changing six-figure contract with the world’s largest martial arts organization.
Redemption and dedication collide in main event
Nontachai Jitmuangnon brings plenty more experience into the ONE Friday Fights 130 headliner. The 26-year-old, who trains alongside former ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon and the legendary Yodpanomrung Jitmuangnon, earned his roster spot by winning the 2023 Road to ONE: Thailand tournament.
The Thai powerhouse got his ONE Championship career off to a brilliant start, rattling off a trio of victories, including a knockout performance over Russian hard-hitter Dmitrii Kovtun. But #5-ranked featherweight contender Abdulla Dayakaev extinguished that streak in July with a quick and devastating stoppage. That motivated Nontachai to move down a weight class, where he is determined to string together some momentum.
His forthcoming opponent finds himself in a similar situation. Soner Sen, who started Muay Thai as an overweight teenager searching for confidence and purpose, owns a 24-11 professional record and multiple championships to his name. After failing to beat Worapon Lukjaoporongtom in their trilogy this past August, Sen returns with the intention of getting back in the win column.
Contracted veteran battles hungry contender in co-main event
Songchainoi Kiatsongrit enters the co-main event carrying the sting of disappointment after his nine-fight winning streak was snapped, costing him a shot at the inaugural ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Title at ONE 173 in Tokyo, Japan, on November 16. That setback has only intensified the 25-year-old's hunger, as he hunts for the 60th victory of his career.
Salai Htan Khee Shein represents everything the contracted Thai veteran must overcome – youth, hunger, and the desperation of someone fighting for family survival.
The 21-year-old Myanmar native, who is the oldest son of a six-member farming family, grew up performing grueling agricultural work before discovering boxing at 12 years old. That introduction to combat sports ignited a passion that eventually led him to relocate to Yangon and pursue Lethwei professionally.
The Myanmar striker's 11-2 record reflects not just talent but necessity. His family struggles to feed themselves daily, making every fight an opportunity to provide basic security for the people who raised him. Inspired by fellow countrymen who've found success on ONE Championship's global platform, Salai Htan Khee Shein fights to build a legacy that transcends personal achievement.
Emotional rematch features fighters building better futures
Sonrak Fairtex and Yamin PK Saenchai renew their rivalry in a 137-pound Muay Thai rematch that carries profound personal stakes for both competitors. The 28-year-old Sonrak grew up near the Thailand-Myanmar border before tragedy struck at 15 when he lost his father. After his mother remarried and relocated to Cambodia, the Myanmar-born striker found himself separated from family.
ONE Championship bonuses have allowed Sonrak to construct a house in Laos where his scattered family can finally reunite – transforming prize money into genuine homecoming. His 69-24 record reflects both talent and the determination of someone fighting for family bonds.
Yamin returned to competition at 19 after his family's bankruptcy forced him back into the ring. The 29-year-old seized opportunities created by ONE Friday Fights' weekly platform, building his record to 84-27 while pursuing dreams beyond personal glory. Yamin’s first bonus earnings funded construction of a small Muay Thai gym for children in Chonburi, ensuring the next generation has access to opportunities martial arts provided him.
