Isannuea Looks To Reignite His Knockout Streak Against A Returning Veteran At ONE Friday Fights 177

Isannuea Sor Sasiwat has a score to settle, and he’s bringing a new division and a renewed hunger into his attempt to settle it this Friday, November 6. He will headline ONE Friday Fights 177 against Jack Siatanyokkrok PK inside Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium, and he has no other choice but to knock him out.

A Promising Run Derailed By A Tough Lesson

It had been a brilliant year for Isannuea. He was coming off back-to-back knockouts for the first time in his ONE Championship career, having stopped Sanit Aekmuangnon and Khunpon Aekmuangnon to earn a pair of performance bonuses.

But then he ran into undefeated British-Pakistani juggernaut Ubaid Hussain, who defeated him in August via unanimous decision, ruined his momentum, and earned a life-changing US$100,000 contract and global roster spot.

That was a tough pill for Isannuea to swallow. Not only was he looking to get his own contract, but he competed against a non-Thai athlete for the first time and witnessed what made foreign athletes so tricky to beat.

“I felt a little bit bummed out about that loss. He hit me with a body hook [in the first round], and I just didn’t brace for it in time,” Isannuea said. “But Ubaid has great skills. He’s really fast.”

Studying A Durable Veteran Returning After Three Years Away

Now, the 22-year-old has no choice but to climb the mountain toward the contract again and kick-start a new streak, and it comes against a fighter who hasn’t competed in ONE Championship in three years.

Isannuea has clearly studied his opponent closely, and his breakdown of Jack reads like a scouting report built from genuine respect for a durable, aggressive competitor.

“I’ve watched him before. I’ve seen him fight in 5-round matches and also in the 4-ounce gloves. I’ve kept an eye on him for a long time,” Isannuea admitted.

“He’s a really strong fighter with an aggressive, come-forward style. His best asset is his durability. He’s got an iron chin and insane toughness.”

A Firefight, A Finish, And A Bonus On His Mind

That respect doesn’t translate to caution, however.

Isannuea has every intention of pressuring Jack immediately in their bantamweight Muay Thai showdown, engaging in exactly the kind of firefight that plays to his strengths.

Ultimately, he wants to break his opponent down piece by piece and secure the knockout, with one extra incentive motivating him even further.

“I’m going to put him away – no stalling. I’m gunning for the bonus, too,” Isannuea said. “It’s the end of the year, so I want to grab that bonus and use it for a New Year’s trip!”
