Hamidi Answers Every Question In His Return

After nearly two years away, three-time ISKA Kickboxing World Champion Akram "La Pepite" Hamidi made his long-awaited return, but not without adversity. He overcame an early knockdown to outpoint Watcharaphon Laochokcharoen over three hard-fought rounds in the strawweight Muay Thai main event.

Watcharaphon came out aggressively, dropping Hamidi with a sharp left hook. The French-Algerian answered immediately, however, sending his opponent to the canvas with a right hook of his own to level the fight.

From that point forward, Hamidi took control by mixing sweeps, knees, and teeps to keep the Thai veteran guessing. He also landed a slicing knee that opened a cut above Watcharaphon's eye in the third round.

Two spinning back kicks highlighted a strong finish, and although he couldn't secure the stoppage, Hamidi's diverse and effective offense earned him a unanimous decision. The victory improved his record to 55-6 while ending Watcharaphon's perfect 5-0 run.

Arsoonnoi Drops Nongkhailek Twice To Extend Winning Streak

The co-main event featured a hard-hitting battle between two experienced Thai strikers, with Arsoonnoi Sitjasing emerging victorious after scoring two knockdowns against Nongkhailek Dr.Knotmuaythai en route to a unanimous decision in their flyweight Muay Thai contest.

The opening round was evenly contested, with both fighters willing to trade from the opening bell. The momentum shifted in round two when Nongkhailek's chin was exposed during an exchange, allowing Arsoonnoi to land a crushing overhand right that sent him to the canvas for an eight-count. From there, Arsoonnoi increased the pressure, attacking the body and controlling the pace.

Nongkhailek fought back with determination in the final round, looking for a comeback. But just as he appeared to regain momentum, Arsoonnoi landed another perfectly timed right hand that scored a second knockdown. Nongkhailek beat the count and finished the fight, but the two knockdowns left little doubt on the scorecards.

Arsoonnoi claimed the unanimous decision, recorded his third consecutive victory, and improved his professional record to 34-13.

Bomogao Earns A Life-Changing ONE Championship Contract

No athlete made a bigger statement than Islay Erika Bomogao earlier in the evening.

The undefeated Filipina needed only 13 seconds of the third round to knock Klinphaka Por Thaisong unconscious, improving to a perfect 6-0 and securing her fifth consecutive victory at ONE Friday Fights.

It also marked her third straight knockout finish, further establishing her as one of the fastest-rising names in the atomweight Muay Thai division. But the biggest moment came after the fight.

Her spectacular performance earned her a US$100,000 contract and a permanent place on ONE Championship's global roster. Bomogao now joins one of the promotion's deepest and most competitive divisions, led by reigning ONE Women's Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues.

Given her unbeaten record and proven finishing ability, Bomogao appears more than ready to make an immediate impact on the global stage.
