Decho, Albadr, And Hussain Deliver Statement Wins At ONE Friday Fights 138
ONE Championship opened 2026 in explosive fashion at ONE Friday Fights 138, as Decho Por Borirak, Ayad “The Matrix” Albadr, and Ubaid “Bad” Hussain delivered statement victories
ONE Championship kicked off 2026 with a high-octane event on Friday, January 16, as ONE Friday Fights 138 delivered nonstop action across 14 bouts at Bangkok’s legendary Lumpinee Stadium.
Rising Thai contender Decho Por Borirak outworked veteran Pompet PongSuphan PK in a hard-fought main event, Iraqi technician Ayad “The Matrix” Albadr continued his surge with another impressive victory in the co-main event, and undefeated British-Pakistani prospect Ubaid “Bad” Hussain kept his perfect record intact in the featured attraction.
Decho Por Borirak Outworks Pompet In Main Event Battle
Decho Por Borirak and Pompet PongSuphan PK delivered the firefight fans anticipated in the flyweight Muay Thai main event. Both fighters came out aggressively, trading low kicks and body shots from the opening bell. Pompet landed an early elbow that drew a reaction, but Decho matched his intensity throughout the opening round.
The second stanza swung decisively in Decho’s favor. The 22-year-old absorbed a sharp jab-cross combination early before answering with punishing clinch work. Driving repeated knees into Pompet’s body and mixing in compact boxing combinations, the Singha Mawynn Gym representative began to overwhelm the PK Saenchai Muaythaigym veteran.
The final round saw both fighters leave everything in the ring. Decho maintained the higher pace he promised pre-fight, pressing forward relentlessly, while Pompet searched for counters that never fully materialized. When the final bell sounded, the judges were unanimous, awarding Decho the victory and improving his record to 49-21, moving him closer to a coveted US$100,000 contract.

Ayad Albadr Showcases Technical Brilliance In Co-Main Event
Ayad “The Matrix” Albadr continued his impressive run in the strawweight Muay Thai co-main event, earning a unanimous decision over Chartpayak Saksatoon to extend his winning streak to four consecutive victories.
Albadr established early control by catching a kick, executing a sweep, and following up with a right cross that briefly staggered Chartpayak. Both fighters traded elbows in close quarters, but the pivotal moment came in round two. After a missed high kick, Albadr spun into a perfectly timed elbow that dropped Chartpayak for an eight-count.
The Thai fighter pressed forward aggressively once the action resumed, hunting for a finish, but Albadr’s footwork and defensive awareness kept him out of danger. Despite Chartpayak’s pressure in the final round, Albadr regained control down the stretch with clean combinations and a sharp body shot before the bell. The knockdown proved decisive, improving Albadr’s record to 19-5.

Ubaid Hussain Remains Undefeated With Dominant Showing
Undefeated British-Pakistani prospect Ubaid “Bad” Hussain delivered another commanding performance, outclassing Thai veteran Brazil Aekmuangnon over three rounds in their flyweight Muay Thai featured bout.
Hussain set a relentless pace from the opening bell, applying constant pressure and mixing knees with crisp punches. His sustained offense forced Brazil to the canvas for the first knockdown of the fight. Although the Thai veteran showed resilience, Hussain continued to control the action.
The second round followed a similar pattern, with Hussain combining punches, elbows, and knees to keep his opponent on the defensive. Brazil attempted to change momentum in the final round with hooks and push kicks, but Hussain refused to relent, closing the fight strongly and earning a unanimous decision to preserve his perfect record.
