Calmer, Smarter, And More Dangerous: Saw Min Min Is Ready To Redeem Himself At ONE Friday Fights 157
Myanmar’s wrecking machine returns to the main event with a sharper mindset as he takes on Yodlekpet “The Destroyer” Or Atchariya. Don’t miss it!
Saw Min Min came back to ONE Championship after seven years away and made a spectacular return with a knockout performance. But then, he suffered a painful reminder of what happens when hunger overrides discipline.
Now, at ONE Friday Fights 157 on June 5, the Myanmar wrecking machine returns to the main event with a sharper mind, a refined game plan, and a clear message for Yodlekpet "The Destroyer" Or Atchariya: the knockout is still coming, it is just arriving smarter this time.
A COMEBACK, A SETBACK AND A LESSON
Saw Min Min returned to ONE Championship in June 2025 and wasted no time making a statement – a knockout of Josh Trowbridge that reminded fans he still belonged at the top-level of the striking arts after a seven-year absence. The excitement around his return was real, and the hype was justified.
But February delivered a sobering moment. A first-round knockout loss stopped his momentum in its tracks, and the Myanmar native had no one to blame but himself. He came in too hot and too eager, and he paid for it when his body had not yet caught up with his ambition.
"My biggest mistake in that fight was being too impatient and reckless. My plan from the start was to charge forward and look for a knockout as quickly as possible," Saw Min Min confessed. "The first mistake was getting caught with a head kick. The second mistake was even worse. As soon as I got up, I stood up immediately even though my body hadn't fully recovered yet."

TH FIRE BURNS EVEN BRIGHTER
That loss did not break Saw Min Min. It sharpened him. He took himself to Poland and Mae Sot, Thailand, to rebuild, putting in the kind of work that only happens when a fighter has something to prove to himself. The recklessness has been replaced by intention.
Yodlekpet Or Atchariya is a four-time Muay Thai World Champion with heavy low kicks, a heavy left hand, and the finishing instinct of a veteran who has competed in over a hundred matches.
Saw Min Min has watched the tape and understands exactly what is coming his way. But this time, he is not going to run at the danger that lies ahead.
"For this fight, my preparation has been focused on being calmer and more patient. I definitely won't be reckless like I was in my last fight," Saw Min Min explained. "My main strategy is to counter on the second beat. I'll let Yodlekpet be the one who comes forward and initiates the action, then I'll use my accuracy to counter him with clean shots."

THE WEAPONS ARE LOADED
Saw Min Min's background sets him apart from almost everyone on the ONE Friday Fights roster.
A Lethwei practitioner from childhood and the 2017 ONE Myanmar Flyweight MMA Tournament Champion, he carries genuine one-punch stopping power and a chin that has handled pressure at multiple levels of combat sports.
The striker’s plan for Friday is built around flipping Yodlekpet's own aggression against him, letting the Thai come forward and walking into his counter every single time. Saw Min Min is not just hoping for a finish. He is certain of one.
"I need to use his strength to my advantage. If he's eager to pressure me and come forward, I'll stay composed and wait for him to throw first," Saw Min Min said. "Then I'll use his own momentum and impact against him, turning it into powerful counterattacks aimed at the most important targets. I truly believe that I will knock him out in this fight."
