Father Kompet Seeks Statement Win Over Dangerous Ondash at ONE Friday Fights 132
Two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Kompet Sitsarawatsuer returns to action at ONE Friday Fights 132 on November 7, where he faces one of his toughest challenges yet in dangerous Lebanese knockout artist Abdallah Ondash. The 25-year-old Thai star enters the flyweight Muay Thai main event riding renewed confidence and with fresh motivation. Now settled back at his original gym and operating with championship poise, Kompet looks to deliver a statement-making performance against the surging Ondash that could propel him toward the life-changing US$100,000 contract with ONE Championship.
Kompet finds peace and purpose after redemption victory
Kompet, a two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion, can breathe a sigh of relief. The Thai felt a bit of pressure heading into his rematch against his compatriot, Kongchai Chanaidonmueang, this past June. The 25-year-old had been coming off a heart-breaking knockout loss and had just returned to his home gym, Sit Sarawatsuea, so he desperately wanted to have a terrific showing.
Well, mission accomplished.
The two strikers engaged in a back-and-forth war for three rounds, but Kompet countered his forward-pressure with perfectly timed kicks, straight lefts, and knees to the body to beat Kongchai for the second time in two years and get his back off the wall.
Between that, returning to his home gym, and spending time with his son, Kompet's motivation has never been higher.
"My life has been so much happier because I get to see my son every day. No matter how exhausting the training is, the moment I see his face, the fatigue just disappears," the 25-year-old said. "He is the most important motivation for me and the reason I push myself every day, so I can go out there, win every single fight, and build a better future for him.”
Thai star faces pivotal test at ONE Friday Fights 132
Kompet will need every ounce of that motivation when he steps into the ring against Ondash on November 7.
The 24-year-old Lebanese destroyer brings a formidable 22-2 record into this flyweight Muay Thai showdown, having established himself as one of the division's most lethal finishers through his calculated boxing combinations and explosive footwork.
Ondash displayed his razor-sharp striking with a spectacular first-round knockout of Singdomthong Nokjeanladkrabang at ONE Friday Fights 112, continuing to build the family legacy alongside his brother Ramadan, who secured his own six-figure ONE Championship contract back in June.
Kompet has studied his opponent extensively and identified both the threat and opportunity that Ondash presents.
"I've been following Abdallah since his very first fight. He's improved a lot, especially his punches, which are very dangerous. And right now, his confidence is sky-high. However, his weakness is that he tends to take too many hits without blocking,” Kompet said. ”For this fight, I've intensely focused on my own defense, and I've prepared my right kicks to be extremely heavy because I know he won't block them. My plan is to keep throwing kicks at him. I'm confident that he will definitely start to break down. And as soon as I see him show signs of distress, I'm going to close the distance and attack him up close immediately.”

Victory could deliver life-changing contract for motivated father
Kompet understands the magnitude of what's at stake when he faces Ondash in Bangkok. A dominant victory would push his career record to an impressive 92-22 while potentially securing the US$100,000 contract that could transform his son's future.
With both fighters competing for that life-changing opportunity, Kompet knows he must seize any opening to make an unforgettable statement.
"This fight is very important because Abdallah is competing for a potential ONE contract. If I can beat him impressively, it will definitely make people talk about my name again," Kompet said. "I'm confident that if I don't get hit by his punches, I will definitely win. Whether it's a decision or a knockout, we'll have to wait and see, but if I get the opportunity, I will absolutely try to finish the fight.”
The combination of renewed confidence from his redemption victory over Kongchai, the stability of training at his original gym, and the powerful motivation of providing for his son has created the perfect storm for Kompet heading into this crucial showdown. With his technical precision, strategic game plan, and championship experience, the two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion believes he has all the tools necessary to overcome Ondash's explosive power and take another significant step toward achieving his dreams.
