How and Where to Watch the First Day of FIBA 3x3 Americup 2026 on beINSPORTS
The continental tournament is being held in El Salvador with the presence of the best teams from America
The FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup 2026 already has a confirmed date and venue: the continental tournament will be played from October 28 to November 1 at Plaza Merliot in San Salvador, El Salvador. The Central American country was chosen by FIBA to host the 2026 and 2027 editions of the tournament, a decision aimed at consolidating the growth of 3x3 in the region.
The event is organized by the Salvadoran Basketball Federation (FESABAL) and will feature the best men's and women's national teams from across the American continent. The tournament allocates 12 spots per gender in the Main Draw. To get there, teams must first get through the Qualifying Draw: four men's groups and three women's groups, where only the winner of each zone advances.

The qualifying format
The tournament kicks off with the Qualifying Draw on October 28 and 29. In this phase, four men's groups and three women's groups compete for a place in the main draw. Only the winners of each group advance to the Main Draw, which will feature 12 teams per gender.

A tournament with history and heavyweight protagonists
The FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup brings together the best men's and women's national teams from the Americas in a continental competition, with equal participation from men's and women's teams playing alternately on the same court. Since its first edition, the tournament has seen outstanding performances from several nations. In the men's competition, the United States has won four titles, while Puerto Rico lifted the trophy once. In the women's category, the United States claimed the title three times, and Canada won two championships.
The expectation is on the powerhouse teams: the United States will seek a historic men's three-peat and its fourth women's title, while Brazil arrives with the mission of breaking its streak of ten medals without being able to take the crown. Meanwhile, Puerto Rico and Canada loom as the main obstacles for the Americans.
