Brady Declares Neutrality for Super Bowl LX
Despite having a six-ton statue in his honor outside Gillette Stadium, Tom Brady stunned everyone by declaring himself neutral for the showdown between New England and Seattle
In the summer of 2025, just a month before the New England Patriots began their journey toward Super Bowl LX, a towering statue of Tom Brady was unveiled in front of Gillette Stadium. The 17-foot-tall, six-ton masterpiece features a hexagonal design, a tribute to the six championship rings the legendary quarterback delivered to the franchise.
One would think the five-time Super Bowl MVP would be fervently rooting for his former team this Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. However, the 'GOAT' seems to have other plans for his emotions.
I don’t have a favorite in this one—may the best team win," Brady shared on Sirius XM’s Let’s Go! podcast. While his neutral stance might feel a bit distant to the fanbase, he made sure to highlight the team's evolution: "It’s a new chapter for New England. I’m happy to see everyone get behind Mike Vrabel’s leadership and these incredible players who fought their way back to the top.
Following a rollercoaster era after he left, Brady admitted that the team's pride has finally been restored. 'We ran the show for 20 years. There was a brief gap afterward, but the Patriots are back, and the energy in New England is electric,' he noted. He left no doubt: though he isn't taking sides, his admiration for this new chapter in Foxborough is unwavering.
