Tom Brady Predicts The Future Of His Las Vegas Raiders With Pete Carroll As Head Coach
The legendary quarterback believes that Pete Carroll is the right man to lead the Las Vegas Raiders back to the NFL playoffs.
A New Chapter Begins In Las Vegas
Tom Brady, widely regarded as the greatest player in NFL history, isn’t just watching from the sidelines anymore. As a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, the former quarterback of the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers now has a voice in the franchise’s direction. And in his view, the arrival of Pete Carroll as head coach is a game-changer.
“Pete is new this year, and he has a major role to play. He’s had a strong offseason, because winning games in September starts with what happens in February, March, and April—when no one’s really paying attention. He’s been working incredibly hard,” Brady told raiders.com.
Brady’s Vision To Bring The Raiders Back To The Super Bowl
The seven-time Super Bowl champion—six titles with the Patriots and one with the Buccaneers—is determined to help the Raiders return to the league’s biggest stage. The team hasn’t played in a Super Bowl since the 2002 season, when they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl XXXVII.
“I’m just trying to contribute in any way I can to help the team reach its full potential, on and off the field. We have a great group of people. I love Mark (Davis). He’s done an incredible job building the stadium and bringing Pete in,” said the five-time Super Bowl MVP.
In addition to Carroll, the Raiders hired John Spytek as general manager for the 2025 season. According to Brady, the synergy between the two leaders has already been instrumental during the offseason.
A Tough Division Awaits
The road to success won’t be easy. Since 2016, the Kansas City Chiefs have dominated the AFC West, winning nine consecutive division titles. But Brady believes the Raiders can rise to the challenge with hard work and unity.
“Our goal is to turn things around and win a lot of games. It won’t be easy—we’re in a tough division and face a lot of strong opponents. But everything comes down to the players and their daily commitment to doing the right things,” he added.
The Las Vegas Raiders will kick off their 2025 NFL season on September 7 with an away game against the New England Patriots, marking the first real test of the new era under Pete Carroll.
