Cristiano Ronaldo Bids Farewell to Al Nassr: “This Chapter Is Over”
Cristiano Ronaldo has brought his time in the Saudi Pro League to an end with an emotional message on social media. Following Al Nassr 3–2 win over Al Fateh where he scored one of his team goals the Portuguese star confirmed his departure, putting an end to ongoing speculation about his future.

“This chapter is over”
On Instagram, Ronaldo shared a short but meaningful message: “This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to everyone.” With those words, he said goodbye to the club he joined in 2022.
The goal against Al Fateh marked Ronaldo 99th for Al Nassr and his 25th of the season, making him the top scorer in the Saudi league. In total, he now boasts 936 official goals in his professional career.
A trophyless season for Al Nassr
Under the management of Italian coach Stefano Pioli, Al Nassr ended the season without silverware. The team also failed to qualify for the next edition of the AFC Champions League, finishing third in the domestic league with 70 points.
Cristiano and Messi: A Real Possibility?
With Ronaldo departure from Saudi Arabia confirmed, speculation is growing about a potential reunion with Lionel Messi this time as teammates. Several reports suggest that Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham has been trying to lure the Portuguese striker to Major League Soccer.
Although the MLS has never particularly appealed to Ronaldo, his current free-agent status could open new doors. One possibility is that he joins Messi for the upcoming Club World Cup, which could fulfill a long-standing dream of the FIFA president.
