Nick Kyrgios made a statement return to the ATP Tour, blasting world number-36 Corentin Moutet away with a 6-3 6-4 win in his first match since 6 January, at the Stuttgart Open.

Chronic knee and wrist injuries have sidelined the much-maligned 31 year-old for most of the season, but he made an emphatic return against the Frenchman, cruising through the match in just over an hour.
Kyrgios didn't face a break point in a performance that included his customary brand of showmanship, trick shots and crowd interaction.
Kyrgios next faces Japanese world number-103 in the round of 16 on Thursday.
