Bournemouth complete Truffert signing from Rennes
Left-back Adrien Truffert has signed for Bournemouth amid rumours of Liverpool’s interest in Milos Kerkez.
Bournemouth have announced the signing of left-back Adrien Truffert from Rennes.
Truffert has signed a five-year deal with the Cherries as Andoni Iraola looks to build on the club's progression from last season.
The 23-year-old made 150 appearances in Ligue 1 and was named captain of Rennes last season.
He has represented France at every level from the Under-18s to the senior squad, and won a silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics under the management of Thierry Henry.
Truffert is looking forward to the prospect of facing Premier League wingers and testing himself against "top players every week".
"I’m really happy and proud to join Bournemouth," Truffert told the club's website.
"It’s a great opportunity for me to keep progressing and to be part of an ambitious project. I felt the club’s confidence in me from the first discussions, and I’m excited to get started.
"It’s a dream for any player to play in the Premier League. It’s one of the best and most competitive leagues in the world. I’m looking forward to testing myself at this level, facing top players every week, and helping the team achieve great things."
The signing of Truffert comes as Milos Kerkez is reportedly close to completing a move to Premier League champions Liverpool.
During his time in Ligue 1, Truffert directly contributed to 22 goals, scoring seven and providing 15 assists.
Truffert won 53.4% of his duels and 56.3% of his tackles in his 150 league appearances. Those figures rose to 55% and 59% when only considering the 2024-25 campaign.
