Bournemouth scores late winner to sink Liverpool
Liverpool are now winless in five Premier League matches after their unbeaten run came to an end with a dramatic 3-2 defeat at Bournemouth.
Arne Slot's team looked set to draw a fifth straight league match when Dominik Szoboszlai curled home in the 80th minute, but Amine Adli had other ideas.
The Reds had fallen 2-0 down inside the opening 33 minutes at the Vitality Stadium, where Evanilson and Alex Jimenez scored in quick succession for the Cherries.
Yet Virgil van Dijk - who was at least partly at fault for both of those Bournemouth goals - dragged Liverpool back into it on the stroke of half-time.
Szoboszlai teed up Van Dijk's goal with a fine corner, and the Hungarian's set-piece prowess came to the fore again when he levelled from a well-worked free-kick also involving Mohamed Salah.
But after Evanilson dragged wide with only Alisson to beat, Bournemouth kept their foot on the gas, and after Liverpool failed to deal with a long throw into their box, Adli was on hand to prod home a winner in the 95th minute.
