Reach fires stunner as high-flying Imps win again
Lincoln City continued its excellent start to the season with a 3-0 victory at struggling Peterborough in EFL League One on Sunday (AEST).
The Imps have lost just once so far this campaign and goals from Adam Reach, Tendayi Darikwa and Justin Obikwa condemned Posh to a seventh league defeat of 2025-2026.
Reach opened the scoring as he fired a superb free-kick into the top corner in the 16th minute, his first goal since May 2022.
Jimmy-Jay Morgan rattled the post with Peterborough's best chance of the first half, while Archie Collins saw his header bounce over the crossbar as Posh went into the break behind.
Darikwa doubled Lincoln's lead on the hour when he scored from a Rob Street cross.
Morgan squandered a good chance for Posh when he diverted the ball wide at the back post.
Obikwu, who came off the bench for Lincoln, then wrapped up the points with a header late on as the visitors remained third on the table as Posh languishes second-bottom.
League leader Bradford City ensured it stay at arm's length from the rest of the pack with a narrow 1-0 win over Blackpool that kept it two points clear at the top of the table and kept Blackpool third bottom.
After a goalless fist half, Josh Neufville broke the deadlock in the 51st minute, and his goal would prove enough for victory.
Second-placed Stevenage got the better of Leyton Orient with a thrilling 3-2 win in east London while fourth-placed Cardiff City also had a win, beating Wigan Athletic 2-0 away from home.
Huddersfield Town beat Exeter City 1-0 to sit fifth on the ladder, and AFC Wimbledon came from a goal down at home against Wycombe Wanderers to win 2-1 and round out the top six.
Burton Albion remains rock bottom of the division after it was hammered 4-0 at home against Plymouth Argyle.
