Injured Barcelona star Olmo ruled out of El Clasico
Barcelona confirmed Dani Olmo has suffered an adductor injury, meaning he will miss this El Clasico against Real Madrid on Monday.
Olmo was replaced inside the first 30 minutes of Barca's Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday after picking up the knock.
The 28 year-old has directly contributed to five goals (one goal, four assists) in 12 appearances for Barca this season, with only six of those coming as a starter.
Only Lamine Yamal has recorded more assists for Barca this season.
"Tests carried out confirm that Dani Olmo is suffering from an injury to his left adductor muscle as a consequence of a collision with an opponent during the game against Paris Saint-Germain," Barcelona's statement read.
"The player is expected to be out for around a month."
Barca hosts rival Madrid in the first El Clasico of the season on Monday, hoping to extend its lead over Jose Mourinho's side.
The Blaugrana are top of LaLiga after winning all nine of their games this season, while Madrid is third on 21 points.
