Palmeiras and Porto finish level
Palmeiras and Porto played to a goalless draw this Sunday in their opening match of Group A at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
It was a tightly contested match, full of intensity and chances at both ends, leaving both teams with a point on the board.
Throughout the 90 minutes, both sides showed grit and determination. Brazilian youngster Estevao Willian stood out with a couple of dangerous attempts, and Palmeiras created several clear opportunities, especially in the closing minutes of the first half, but couldn’t find the net.
Porto, meanwhile, also had its chances, though its attacking efforts were consistently denied by a solid defensive display and an outstanding performance from goalkeeper Weverton, who had a stellar night.
