Leicester moves up after sinking Swans
Leicester City climbed up to third on the EFL Championship table with an impressive 3-1 away victory at Swansea City.
Twenty-one-year-old Jordan James, who also scored in the Foxes’ draw against Wrexham last time out, was the star of the show as he broke the deadlock after 13 minutes before assisting a stunning Abdul Fatawu strike.
Jannik Vestegaard made sure of the win late on as Adam Idah’s penalty failed to build any momentum for the hosts.
"I am very happy with the three points. We played against a good team – it's never easy to win here," Foxes boss Marti Cifuentes said.
"We started really well – not just the goal, a sharp start. Then perhaps through the first half we started to lose the ball more.
"The aggressive high press Swansea like to play gave them some momentum. We were chasing the ball and we were looking a bit tired.
"The start of the second half was good – we had a very good period just before the penalty.
"What I valued most today was the reaction after the penalty. I have spoken about the need to chase goals and after the penalty that's exactly what we did. We were very strong in the last 20 minutes."
