Andy Murray to retire after Olympic Games
The two-time Olympic Gold medalist will bow out after Paris 2024
Andy Murray has announced that he will retire from tennis after the Olympic games.
The 37-year-old confirmed the news via his X account and will play in both the double and singles events in Paris.
Murray has won gold on two separate occasions at the Olympics, the first in 2012 at Wimbledon beating Rodger Federer. He became the first male singles player ever to win back-to-back gold after defeating Juan Martin del Potro in Rio four years later.
The Scottish player has won three grand slam titles including the Wimbledon title twice.
