Rosberg concerned over Mercedes reliability
Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg secured pole position at the Mexican Grand Prix on Saturday but remains concerned over reliability.
Nico Rosberg has admitted to reliability concerns ahead of Sunday's race at the Mexican Grand Prix.
The Mercedes driver secured his fourth consecutive pole position ahead of team-mate and newly crowned Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton, with Ferrari's Sebastien Vettel third on the grid.
However, the German driver is not entirely confident with his race package and feels he could experience some problems on the newly resurfaced Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez track.
"There could be some unexpected issues coming up with tyre management, so it'll be interesting from that point of view because we saw quite a lot of degradation on the soft tyre on Friday," Rosberg revealed.
All teams have struggled for grip in Mexico this weekend, with overheating engines caused by the venue's altitude, which is 2250 metres above sea level.
"It will be difficult in all these things," Rosberg continued.
"Brakes are on the edge - everything is on the edge on this track, even engine temperatures and all that, because the cooling is so bad.
"But we've prepared well for this and we've done all our homework, so we're comfortable. But it is on the edge."
