It’s the second El Clasico in four days as Real Madrid take on Barcelona at the Santiago Bernebau. Real Madrid will have revenge firmly on their mind when they face off against bitter rivals Barcelona on Saturday evening. After being dumped out of the Copa del Rey after a 3-0 home defeat to the Catalans. Santigo Solari will certainly be disappointed on the nature of his side's defeat, despite enjoying the majority of possession and chances for large swathes of the contest.

Los Blancos are nine points away from Barca in third place and will be well aware that a shock win can keep their feint title hopes alive. Last time the two sides met in the league, a 5-1 defeat brought an end to the short-lived tenure of coach Julen Lopetegui. Santigo Solari will certainly be looking to avoid such a heavy defeat especially with whispers of his future in doubt and the talk of a managerial change in the summer.

In team news, Thibaut Courtois is expected to return after sitting out the cup midweek. Solari is also widely expected to stick with Vinicius Junior, who showed glimpses of talent against Barca. That will mean that Gareth Bale will have to settle for a place on the bench again. Central defender Nacho is suspended for the game after getting sent off against Levante at the weekend.

As for Barcelona, they will know that a victory against their bitter rivals will leave them with one hand on the La Liga title. Ernesto Valverde's side played masterfully in the second half, springing away on the counter-attack to put their rivals to the sword and sealing their place in the Copa del Rey final for the sixth consecutive season.

Luis Suarez returned to goal scoring form in some style grabbing a brace, including a cheeky Panenka penalty to put the tie beyond doubt. The Uruguayan attacker now has three goals in his last two starts and will be hungry to get on the score sheet again, and effectively put Real out of the La Liga title race.

In team news, Valverde may elect to stick with the same side that comprehensively defeated Real Madrid midweek.  Although one change could be Samuel Umtiti replacing compatriot Clément Lenglet in central defence. The World Cup-winning defender was an unused substitute and could be eased into the side after returning from injury.
