Lamouchi future in doubt after Tunisia's World Cup thrashing
Tunisia coach Sabri Lamouchi's future is under scrutiny after the team's heavy 5-1 defeat to Sweden in their opening World Cup match.
Lamouchi has only been in charge since January, with former Tunisia coach Mondher Kebaier reportedly among the candidates being considered should the federation opt for a change.
Kebaier, who led the national team between 2019 and 2022, is currently with Tunisia's World Cup delegation in Monterrey, Mexico.
After the defeat to Sweden, Tunisia now face a difficult challenge to reach the knockout stage of the World Cup for the first time.
The Eagles of Carthage will face Japan in Monterrey on Saturday before taking on the Netherlands in Kansas City on June 25.
Japan and the Netherlands played out a 2-2 draw in their opening Group F match on Sunday.
Former France international Lamouchi, 54, previously coached Ivory Coast at the 2014 World Cup but resigned after the Elephants failed to progress beyond the group stage.
