Germany's team hotel in Paris evacuated after bomb threat
The hotel being used by Germany's squad ahead of a friendly with France in Paris was evacuated Friday after a bomb threat.
Germany's team hotel in Paris was evacuated Friday morning after a bomb threat, the national team's general manager Oliver Bierhoff has confirmed.
The world champion is in the capital to take on France in a friendly, with Bierhoff confirming the news to German newspaper Express.
"There was a bomb threat. The hotel has been widely cordoned off and evacuated," the former striker said.
The German squad arrived Thursday and trained at the Stade de France – the venue for Friday's match against the Euro 2016 host.
Joachim Low's side was staying at the Hotel Molitor on the Rue Nungesser et Coli.
DFB security officer Hendrik Grosse Lefert told the DPA news agency: "The French police informed us that an anonymous bomb threat has been received.
"Together with my colleagues, we have decided to leave the hotel at short notice."
