Football: African Nations Championships draw
The draw for the 2025 African Nations Championships (CHAN) in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda made in Nairobi on Wednesday:
Group B: Tanzania, Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic
Group C: Uganda, Niger, Guinea, Q2, Q1
Group D: Senegal, Congo, Sudan, Nigeria
Notes:
-- Two more teams will join the 17 qualifiers in the finals in August to bring the total number to 19.
-- The two final teams will be decided in a special final qualifier on a date to be announced. The teams involved will include Sierra Leone, Comoros, South Africa, Egypt and Algeria, who had pulled out of the previous CHAN qualifiers due to conflicting fixtures.
-- Tournament will be staged in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda in August.
