Kulasekara, Vithanage and Perera added to Sri Lanka squad
Sri Lanka have added Nuwan Kulasekara, Kithuruwan Vithanage and Thisara Perera to their squad for the one-day series in New Zealand.
Nuwan Kulasekara, Kithuruwan Vithanage and Thisara Perera have been called up to the Sri Lanka squad for the one-day international series against New Zealand.
Experienced seamer Kulasekara comes in for the five-match series – which starts next Saturday – after Dammika Prasad was ruled out owing to a back injury against a New Zealand Board President's XI in Queenstown.
Vithanage is in the Test squad which are taking on the Black Caps in a two-match series and the batsman will remain in New Zealand for the ODIs in the absence of Kusal Perera, who flew home after being suspened by the International Cricket Council (ICC) following a failed drugs test.
Thisara has been added to the ODI squad due to concerns over the fitness of quick Lasith Malinga, who will undergo a fitness test after suffering knee injury during the tour of the West Indies.
