Hasselbeck, Johnson lead Colts to win over Texans
The Houston Texans went down to the Indianapolis Colts in the NFL as Matt Hasselbeck and Andre Johnson led the way.
The Indianapolis Colts made it three straight NFL wins with a 27-20 victory over the Houston Texans on Thursday.
The Colts are the oldest team in the NFL and their old men came through at NRG Stadium as they improved to a 3-2 win-loss record.
The youngest Colts player to score was 32-year-old running back Frank Gore, who ran for 98 yards and a touchdown.
With Andrew Luck injured, Matt Hasselbeck started at quarterback and completed 18 of 29 passes for 213 yards and two TDs.
Andre Johnson scored two touchdowns after gaining 77 yards on six receptions.
For the Texans, Ryan Mallett took a shot to the ribs from Colts linebacker Sio Moore, who was flagged for roughing the passer, and Brian Hoyer took over at quarterback.
Mallett was seven of 10 for 50 yards and an interception on a pass that went through the hands of running back Arian Foster.
Hoyer came in to lead the Texans with 312 yards, including two TDs.
But the Texans were unable to stop the Colts on the other side.
The Colts double-teamed Texans defensive linemen J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney on nearly every play and no other Texans defenders were able to do much.
