Darderi beats Taberner to claim Croatia title
Luciano Darderi backed up his title win in Bastad last week by winning another one in Umag as he beat Carlos Taberner 6-3 6-3 to claim the Croatia Open crown.

The Italian is only the third man to win at least three ATP Tour level titles this year, joining Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Bublik on that list, Bublik claiming the Generali Open title in Kitzbuehel as Darderi joined him in the record books.
Darderi appeared to roll his ankle in bringing up match point, but still managed to seal victory despite having a significant limp.
Taberner showed great sportsmanship to help the No.2 seed to his feet, with Darderi then receiving treatment on his ankle ahead of the trophy ceremony.
