After suffering from illness and being forced to withdraw from several tournaments at the start of the season, Navarro rediscovered her top form in her 6-0 5-7 6-2 victory.
She is the first American to win the tournament since Madison Keys in 2024, and will now enter her first-round clash against Janice Tjen at the French Open with confidence.
Navarro laid the foundations for her two-hour-and-20-minute triumph in the opening set, reeling off six games without reply, though the pair engaged in a thrilling tussle in the fourth game where it created 12 deuces and 29 points in total.
But Mboko responded by getting the better of Navarro's serve in the opening game of the second, only for her opponent to return the favour immediately after to go 2-1 in front.
The Canadian broke and then held to level things up once more, and after saving a championship point in the fifth game, she forced a decider following a love service game.
However, Navarro regained her composure in the third set, winning four of the first five games before clinching the crown against the serve when Mboko's return hit the net.
