Hansen 'pleased' with All Blacks' year
After a 13th win in 14 matches this year, All Blacks coach Steve Hansen was left pleased by his team.
New Zealand coach Steve Hansen was left satisfied by his team's year, completed with a victory over France on Sunday (AEDT).
The All Blacks ran in three tries to record a hard-fought 24-19 win over their host at the Stade de France.
It completed a 2016 during which New Zealand won 13 of 14 matches, including taking out the Rugby Championship.
"We've got to be pleased about what we've achieved throughout the year," Hansen said. "We'll go home and have a good summer and really build for this Lions series."
France coach Guy Noves was happy with his team despite its loss in Saint-Denis.
Israel Dagg, Beauden Barrett and Charlie Faumuina crossed for the All Blacks' tries before Louis Picamoles went over for the host.
"I am very proud tonight. New Zealand were superior but they did not have it easy. We crushed them at times," Noves said. "We have a team with a lot of self-belief, a team who learn and play a rugby that they like."
