Inter's Martinez could miss Barcelona clash
After missing Inter Milan's win over Hellas Verona through injudy, Lautaro Martinez could also be out of their Champions League semi-final second leg.
Inter confirmed Martinez suffered a thigh injury last week and was taken off at half-time in the 3-3 draw with Barcelona in the first leg of their semi-final.
The Argentina international is not expected to be out for a long period, but the Barca game will be a crucial game for him to miss.
"Lautaro Martinez had various clinical and instrumental examinations this morning at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano," an Inter statement read prior to the Verona meeting.
"It was found that the Argentine forward has an elongation of the flexor muscles in his left thigh. His conditions will continue to be reviewed day by day."
In the four Serie A games that Martinez has not played in this season, Inter has a 100 per cent winning record, with the team managing 10 goals across those wins without him.
The Nerazzurri is second in Serie A, three points behind Napoli, which briefly opened the gap to six points by beating Lecce away from home before Inter beat Verona later in the day.
