Champions League win a dream come true for Vitinha
Paris Saint-Germain's Vitinha praised the impact of the fans as their "dream" became reality after beating Inter 5-0 in the UEFA Champions League final.
The Parisian side lifted the trophy for the first time as it dismantled its Italian opponent in Munich, completing a quarduple, and becoming the first French side to do so.
Desire Doue scored twice and assisted once, becoming the first player to be involved in three goals in a UEFA Champions League final, while Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and fellow teenager Senny Mayulu completed the rout.
Vitinha said PSG was motivated to deliver a first taste of European success for its fans, but it was a dream for all of those involved.
"It means everything, it means everything," Vitinha said.
"The fans are the main reason that we wanted to win this trophy, but we wanted to win it for a lot of reasons. It's our dream, it’s everyone's dream, it's my dream, and I'm glad we made it. It's incredible.
"It says a lot [about these players] – it's a very good team. The result is not by magic. We are a very good team, and now we're going to celebrate."
