Inter Milan signs Henrique from Marseille
Inter Milan has confirmed the signing of Luis Henrique from Marseille in time for the FIFA Club World Cup.
The Brazilian has reportedly signed a five-year contract in a deal valued at €25 million ($43.9 million).
Henrique scored nine goals in all competitions for Marseille last season and notched a team-high nine assists.
He also created 59 chances, also more than any of his team-mates, while only Mason Greenwood (139) attempted more dribbles than his 101 (completed 53).
"I am very happy to have signed for such a big club," he said. "I think it will be a huge jump in quality in my career.
"I am enthusiastic, and I cannot wait to start playing, to meet the rest of the boys and to play with them, every day, for this huge club.
"I hope we will make it as far as possible [in the FIFA Club World Cup] and that we will manage to win this competition that is starting soon. These are my expectations."
Inter is yet to announce a replacement after Simone Inzaghi departed the club, but club president Giuseppe Marotta all but confirmed Cristian Chivu will step into the dugout once a deal is finalised with Parma.
The Nerazzurri begins its FIFA Club World Cup campaign against Monterrey on 18 June (AEST), before taking on Japanese outfit Urawa Red Diamonds and River Plate in its other two Group E fixtures.
