Fabregas focused on Como run-in amid Chelsea links
Cesc Fabregas insisted the most important focus is Como's match against Genoa as rumours linking him to the Chelsea manager's job grow.
Fabregas is aiming to guide Como into the UEFA Champions League places in Serie A, but its recent form has not been ideal.
Como has lost its past two Serie A matches – 4-3 against Inter Milan and 2-1 against Sassuolo – as many defeats as it suffered in its previous 16 games in the competition.
It could lose three consecutive Serie A matches for the first time since early 2025 – against Atalanta, Bologna and Juventus on that occasion in January and February.
Como was also knocked out by Inter in the Coppa Italia semi-finals during in midweek, despite taking a two-goal lead in the second leg at San Siro.
Nevertheless, Fabregas has been linked with a switch to Chelsea, which sacked Liam Rosenior last week.
Those rumours were fuelled by Como president Mirwan Suwarso, who said he would not stand in Fabregas's way if he wanted to join the Blues.
However, Fabregas reiterated his commitment to Como, which travels to Genoa on Sunday.
"I don’t have to say anything," Fabregas said. "I don't know anything about it. It would be stupid to think about things that aren’t important now, because this isn’t important to me.
"The most important thing is Genoa, the next match, and we want to do everything we can to win.
"Genoa have matured a lot since the last time we saw them. Given the quality of their players, I believe they are a top-10 side.
"Daniele De Rossi is doing an excellent job, and I think he is the right coach for the way they want to play. They look like a complete team and we will need to prepare our players well, because it will be a very important match.
"I think I'll continue as Como's coach: my experience as a player gives me peace of mind."
Four wins in six have seen Genoa move away from the Serie A relegation and all but confirm its top-flight status for another season.
It came from behind to defeat Pisa 2-1 last time out, which followed a victory over Sassuolo by the same scoreline.
