Saelemaekers handed five-year AC Milan extension
AC Milan confirmed wing-back Alexis Saelemaekers has signed a new five-year contract extension to keep him at the club until 2031.
Saelemaekers' previous deal with the Rossoneri was due to expire at the end of this season, but he has committed his long-term future to the club following a strong start to 2025-2026.
The Belgian, who helped Milan win its most recent Serie A title in 2022, has started all 15 of its league games since Massimiliano Allegri returned for a second stint as manager.
Only Luka Modric and Matteo Gabbia have played more Serie A minutes for Milan than Saelemaekers's 1,307 this campaign, and he has scored two goals and provided two assists.
Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao are the only players with more total goal involvements for the Rossoneri this campaign.
The 26 year-old also ranks second in their squad for chances created in Serie A, with his 19 only bettered by Modric's 26.
Milan sits second in the table after 15 matchdays, only one point adrift of Inter, though it did drop two points in the 2-2 home draw with Sassuolo on Monday.
The Rossoneri take on Napoli in the semi-final of the Supercoppa Italiana on Friday, with a league clash with Verona – their final game of 2025 – to follow on 28 December.
