Juventus pegged back by top-five rival
Juventus missed the chance to boost its Champions League qualifying hopes, after being held to a 1-1 draw by fellow top-five hopeful Bologna.
The spoils were shared at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara, where Remo Freuler's second-half strike cancelled out Khephren Thuram's early effort.
Thuram broke the deadlock after just nine minutes, driving into the heart of the Bologna defence before drilling past Lukasz Skorupski.
The Bianconeri looked to stretch their advantage, but Nicolas Gonzalez and Andrea Cambiaso were both denied by the offside flag.
It proved crucial as Bologna equalised nine minutes after the restart, with Freuler pouncing to finish after Juve failed to deal with a ball in its own penalty area.
Both sides went close to winning it. Gonzalez saw a shot cleared off the line while, at the other end, Lewis Ferguson fired narrowly over in stoppage time, as the teams were forced to settle for a point apiece.
Juve moved up a place to fourth on 63 points - level with Roma and Lazio - and one ahead of Bologna in seventh.
