Leeds and Brentford play out bore draw
Leeds United and Brentford had to settle for a point apiece after a Premier League game of few chances at Elland Road ended 0-0.
Both teams struggled to create clear-cut opportunities as Leeds inched four points clear of the relegation zone and Brentford missed the chance to go level with sixth-placed Chelsea.
The first opening of any kind saw Dominic Calvert-Lewin get ahead of Caoimhin Kelleher to produce a dangerous flick-on, but it was cleared before another white shirt could bundle it home.
Brentford's best opening came one minute into the second half, but with both Kevin Schade and Igor Thiago calling for a cross, Mathias Jensen fired into the side netting.
Substitute Ao Tanaka saw a venomous effort deflect wide and Pascal Struijk flashed a header through the goalmouth from the resulting corner, while Schade was forced into a nervy clearance moments later.
But both teams were risk-averse in the closing stages, and both Daniel Farke and Keith Andrews will hope the result is not viewed as two points dropped at the end of the season.
