Spurs star Kudus may need surgery
Mohammed Kudus could miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season after the Tottenham winger suffered a setback in his return from injury.
Tottenham confirmed Mohammed Kudus has suffered a setback in his return from injury and could require surgery.
The winger has not played since 4 January after picking up a significant quad injury against Sunderland, which Spurs face again on Moday.
Kudus, who joined from West Ham last summer, has scored two goals and provided five assists in 19 Premier League appearances for Spurs this season.
The north London side has endured many injury problems in 25/26, leaving it 17th in the league and on the brink of relegation.
"We can confirm that Mohammed Kudus has suffered a setback in his return from injury," a Spurs statement read.
"He had returned to team training during the past week, however will now require further specialist review and, potentially, surgery."
The clash against Sunderland will be new manager Roberto De Zerbi's first game in charge of Spurs.
