Endrick makes Lyon history with hat-trick against Metz
Endrick has thrust himself into the spotlight since joining Lyon on loan from Real Madrid, and netted a treble in Sunday's Ligue 1 victory.
Endrick made Ligue 1 history in Lyon's 5-2 win over Metz on Sunday, becoming the youngest player in the club's history to score a hat-trick.
Lyon earned some breathing space in fourth place in the table with the victory, with Ruben Kluivert and Tyler Morton also getting on the scoresheet for Paulo Fonseca's team.
Endrick joined Lyon on loan for the second half of the 2025-26 season from Real Madrid in December and has announced himself in style, scoring four goals in his first three matches for Lyon in all competitions.
It is the best start by a player for the club since Mariano Diaz netted three times in the same span back in August 2017.
And aged 19 years and 188 days, Endrick is the youngest Lyon player to score a Ligue 1 hat-trick, surpassing Bernard Lacombe (19y 196d).
In the 21st century, only Jeremy Menez in January 2005 (17y 260d), Kylian Mbappe in February 2017 (18y 53d) and Ousmane Dembele in March 2016 (18y 296d) have done so at a younger age than Endrick.
Not only that, but the teenager also became the 25th Brazilian player to score a league goal for Lyon.
Endrick had six shots on target against Metz, the joint-highest total for a player at the club in the top-flight since Opta began analysing the competition (2006-07 – Alexandre Lacazette v Monaco in May 2016).
