Crawley hammers MK Dons to clip Wembley ticket
Crawley Town will meet Crewe Alexandra in the EFL League Two play-off final after utterly demolishing MK Dons in their semi-final, winning the second leg 5-1 to complete an 8-1 aggregate rout.
Danilo Orsi was the star of the show for the Red Devils, the club top scorer this season bagging a hat-trick to add to goals from Jay Williams and Jack Roles.
Max Dean offered a brief glimmer of hope for the Dons when he pulled one back in first-half stoppage-time, but it would prove to be a mere consolation as Crawley ran riot through the second period.
Crawley will play Crewe – which beat Doncaster Rovers 4-3 in a penalty shootout after their tie ended 2-2 on aggregate – at the home of football on 10 May in the one-off final, the winner joining League Two champion Stockport County, Wrexham and Mansfield Town, in League One.
