Wilshere set for new role as Luton manager
Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has reportedly agreed to take the reins at EFL League One side Luton Town, marking his first step into a senior managerial.
The Hatters, which suffered relegation to League One last season having dropped out of the Premier League the previous season, sacked Matt Bloomfield last week after he oversaw five losses from 11 games.
Wilshere, who retired from playing in 2022 and guided Arsenal's under-18 side to the FA Youth Cup in 2023, left the coaching set-up at Championship side Norwich City at the end of last season.
He was placed in caretaker charge of the Canaries for its final two matches of the 2024-2025 season, a goalless draw with Middlesbrough and a 4-2 win over Cardiff City, which was relegated.
Wilshere will take over a team in Luton that is 11th on the League One table. His first game in charge will be against 12th-placed Mansfield Town on 19 October (AEDT).
