Bolivar stuns Fluminense to get off the mark
Bolivar heaped more pressure on winless Copa Libertadores Group C rival Fluminense, consigning the Brazilian giant to the bottom of the group with a 2-0 win.
The Bolivian club, itself desperate to open its account, proved too slick at home for its opponent, which had Facundo Bernal sent off in the 48th minute to compound a miserable evening.
In the group's other match, in-form Argentinian club Independiente Rivadavia moved to the top of the standings with a 4-1 win over Deportivo La Guaira.
