Manchester City to play Newcastle in final four
The Carabao Cup semi-final draw has delivered two blockbuster ties as defending champion Newcastle United will face Manchester City, while Chelsea awaits the winners of Arsenal v Crystal Palace, which takes place on 23 December.
City sealed its spot with a 2-0 win over Brentford, setting up a mouth-watering clash with Eddie Howe’s side, which dramatically edged past Fulham thanks to Lewis Miley’s stoppage-time header.
Chelsea, meanwhile, will discover its opponent next week when Arsenal and Palace meet at Emirates Stadium.
The first legs are scheduled for the week of 12 January, with the second legs taking place in the week beginning 2 February.
