Union and Heidenheim do each other no favours
Union Berlin let a lead slip after coming back to lead Heidenheim in their Bundesliga clash, both sides settling for a point in a 2-2 draw at Stadion An der Alten Forsterei.
Nikola Dovedan put the visitors into an early lead with a goal inside the first three minutes, but Union fought back to lead at half-time after Robin Gosens and Andras Schafer both netted minutes before the break.
But Heidenheim wasn't to be denined and grabed an equaliser through Jan-Niklas Beste, which Union couldn't find a reply to.
The result did little for either side's campaign, both sides stuck in the middle of the table with Heidenheim ninth on 28 points and Union Berlin 14th on 25 points.
