Ange Postecoglou joins Ronaldo at Al-Nassr
Ange Postecoglou is returning to management, signing a two-year deal to take over at Saudi Pro League champion Al-Nassr, where Cristiano Ronaldo plays his football.
Jorge Jesus left his post at Al-Nassr at the end of the 2025-2026 season, despite leading it to the Saudi Pro League title for the first time in seven years.
"A new chapter. Mr Ange Postecoglou appointed as head coach of the Al-Nassr first team. The contract spans two seasons," a statement from Al-Nassr read.
"We wish him and his staff every success in their journey."
Postecoglou is returning to management for the first time since being sacked by Nottingham Forest last October after just 39 days in charge.
That was the shortest managerial reign of any permanent Premier League manager to leave a club during the season, and he failed to win any of his matches in charge.
Postecoglou, who also previously ended Tottenham Hotspur's 17-year wait for a trophy by winning the UEFA Europa League in 2025 before being sacked, has penned a two-year deal with the Riyadh-based side.
The Australian also won five major honours across two seasons with Celtic before joining Spurs and also claimed league titles with Brisbane Roar in Australia and Yokohama F Marinos in Japan.
Postecoglou had been linked with the vacant Scotland job, but will instead step into the dugout for Al-Nassr, with his first game in charge set to come against Diriyah in the King Cup of Champions next month.
