Source plays down Ibrahimovic to Tigres rumours
Reports out of Mexico suggest the Paris Saint-Germain forward is nearing a move to the Liga MX side, but there is no truth to the latest rumors.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not negotiating a deal to play for Tigres when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires next summer, a source close to the player told Goal's Loic Tanzi.
Reports out of Mexico suggest the two sides have begun discussions to bring the Swedish superstar to Liga MX, but there is no truth to the rumours, according to the source.
Ibrahimovic, who has scored seven goals in seven games this season, has previously said PSG would be his last big club in Europe, leading to speculation that he could head to North America. There is also a chance he could sign an extension with the Ligue 1 giant.
This isn't the first time Tigres have been linked to a Ligue 1 star. Last season, the Copa Libertadores runner-up signed André-Pierre Gignac after the striker finished as Ligue 1’s second-highest scorer with 21 goals for Olympique Marseille.
