A "Dream" Night in Europe for Olympique de Marseille
Jean-Louis Gasset expressed pride in his team after coming back against Benfica and advancing to the semifinals of the Europa League.
Olympique de Marseille experienced one of those magical nights that only continental competition can bring, specifically in the Europa League. They needed to overcome the 2-1 deficit from the first leg and had to go to penalties, but they succeeded.

It's no surprise that Jean-Louis Gasset, the coach of Marseille, was extremely happy in the press conference following their advancement to the semifinals. "I'm proud of what the team did. The plan worked perfectly," said the former coach of the Ivory Coast.
"When you see the fans happy, it makes you happy. We dream of nights like this in a competition that suits us," added Gasset, who reviewed the list of victims that Marseille has left behind in this Europa League. He mentioned Shakhtar, Villarreal, and now Benfica, three strong teams that have not been able to win at the Vélodrome.
In fact, no one has managed to beat Marseille this season in Europe. Marseille reaches the semifinals warning Atalanta, their opponent for a place in the final, that it will be very difficult for them to come away with a positive result in Marseille.
