Ten Hag: "I'm Glad for Jadon Sancho"
Manchester United's coach, Erik Ten Hag, said he's pleased with Jadon Sancho's good form and left the door open for the winger to return in the future.
The English forward was outstanding in Borussia Dortmund's victory over PSG in the Champions League semifinals on Wednesday, after joining the German team on loan in January following a disagreement with Ten Hag.
The coach sidelined him for months after accusing him of being out of shape, and Sancho responded by saying he was being made a scapegoat. The Englishman refused to apologize and had to go on loan to Dortmund, where he is returning to the level he showed with the Germans before joining United for £80 million ($85.6 Million USD).
"Yesterday he showed why United signed him and why he represents a great asset for Manchester United. It's good, I'm happy for Jadon and his game yesterday. We'll see what happens in the future," added the Dutch coach.
There are many doubts at Old Trafford about Ten Hag's continuity next season, and it's most likely that the coach will leave the club in the summer as part of the reconstruction process led by Jim Ratcliffe, who owns 27% of the club.
This process would involve putting most of the first-team players up for sale, except for Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho, and Rasmus Hojlund.
"It's a joke," Ten Hag said. "Since I've been in football, every summer they say United is interested in 200 players, and every summer they say we're going to sell them all," he said.
