Real Madrid and Their Imposing Record Against German Teams
After defeating Bayern Munich in the Semifinals to head to Wembley for the UEFA Champions League final, Real Madrid will once again face a German team, this time in the ultimate stage.
The Whites will experience this final as a deja vu of past finals, as it will be the third time in their history in Champions League finals where they face a German team.
The first occasion was in 1960 against Eintracht Frankfurt where they lifted the Champions League trophy, defeating the Germans 7-3 to claim their fifth title in this competition. The second dates back 22 years ago when in 2002 they faced Bayer Leverkusen, where they also secured victory with a score of 2-1, lifting the ninth "Orejona" for the Whites in their trophy cabinet.
Now, they will face Borussia Dortmund on June 1st, always undefeated in finals against German teams. Can Dortmund make it third time lucky for a German team?
