Pedri: "We Have to Go Out and Eat Up PSG"
Barcelona player Pedro González 'Pedri' stated that, despite the advantage obtained in the first leg (2-3), his team needs to "go out and eat up" Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals taking place this Tuesday.
In the pre-match press conference held at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium, the Canary Islands-born footballer advocated for caution by stating that the French team "will come at us with everything, even more so knowing their coach", Luis Enrique Martínez, with whom he coincided in the Spanish national team.
Pedri, who made his comeback in Paris after overcoming a muscular injury, is one of the options considered by Barcelona's coach, Xavi Hernández, to replace the suspended Sergi Roberto and Andreas Christensen in midfield.
In this regard, the Spanish international feels capable of starting the game: "I feel strong and you always want to play these games. I prefer to play 80 minutes, until I can't anymore. Then I'll ask for the change if necessary".
However, he admitted that Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final match against Paris Saint-Germain is, alongside the Euro 2021 semi-final, the most important match he has played in his career to date.
"The team is very excited to face such an important match like tomorrow's. Personally, I've been through a tough time due to injuries, so I'm really looking forward to playing tomorrow's match", he concluded.
