Antalyaspor's Coach Sahin Accepts Dortmund's Offer
The current coach of Antalyaspor, Nuri Sahin, has officially accepted an offer to take charge of Borussia Dortmund, as confirmed by the vice president of the Turkish club, Alkan Evren, on Friday.
"At Antalyaspor, we are saddened that our beloved coach Nuri Sahin is leaving us. But we are proud that he has received an offer from a club like Borussia Dortmund. We wish Nuri Sahin the best of luck in his new role," stated Evren to the Turkish agency Anadolu.
Sahin, born in Germany but a player for the Turkish national team, began his football career at Borussia Dortmund and joined Real Madrid in 2011. After a season, he was loaned to Liverpool, followed by subsequent stints with Dortmund, where he became a permanent fixture in 2014.
Having also played for Werder Bremen, Nuri Sahin signed with Antalyaspor in 2020, transitioning from player to coach after a season.
