Ten Hag: "Lisandro's injury doesn't look good"
Erik Ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, admitted that Lisandro Martinez's knee injury "looks bad." The Argentine defender had to leave the game in the second half of the victory against West Ham United after Coufal, from the 'Hammers,' fell onto his knee.
Lisandro felt the impact on the field, and although he tried to continue after being attended to by the medical staff, he was substituted by Raphael Varane with twenty minutes left.
"It doesn't look good," acknowledged Ten Hag on the British channel BBC. "We have to wait, get the right diagnosis in the coming days, and then we'll see. Hopefully, it's not too bad, but all we can do is pray."
Lisandro has played four games since recovering from a foot injury that kept him out of the final months of last season and also affected him at the beginning of this one, where, in total, he has only been able to participate in ten matches.
"He has worked really hard to get back, and now, after a couple of games, it seems like he's going to be out again," stated Ten Hag.
